Tom and Jim Hey bought the company from their Mom & Dad in 2000 and have continued with the family values and professional business skills passed on from their Mom & Dad .

Connie VanderPoel has been with the company since October 1999 working in the role as Office Manager. In her role she gets to work in a variety of roles in the tour and travel department. “I am fortunate that my job is varied from marketing, tour development, escorting tours, and day to day operations. My favorite part is meeting our guests when I escort a tour.”
Debbie Thooft a veteran motorcoach and school bus driver has been at Southwest Coaches since 2001 in the role of Motorcoach Charter and School Bus Dispatcher.

Beth Brewers works in our airline department booking airline, vacation packages, Amtrak and all kinds of leisure travel. Beth came to Southwest Tour & Travel in 2001 when Southwest Tour & Travel purchased Wilson O’ Brien/The Travel Company. We value Beth’s many years of travel experience she has brought to us. Beth also specializes in Group Travel.
Laurel Johnson works as a Tour Director in our extended tours motorcoach department. Laurel has been taking care of our guests for over thirty years, making sure their tour is trouble free and a great vacation experience. Laurel also uses her expertise on different destinations in the office writing and researching new and existing tours. We value her experience and expertise immensely.
Pam Vik works in our Tour Reservations department and is usually the first person you talk to when you are signing up for a tour. You can just hear Pam’s smile and helpful demeanor on the phone as she is walking you through the reservation process. Pam joined Southwest Tour & Travel in 1999 and brought with her many years of experience in the hospitality business.
Denise Versaevel joined Southwest Tour & Travel in 2006, bringing with her a smiling face and attitude of “what can I do to help?” Denise works primarily in the Airline Department but she also helps out in the tour and bus operations department as needed. Denise has earned her Disney Vacation Specialist accreditation as well as researching Destination Weddings.
Vickie Kiley works in our tour development department researching and writing motorcoach tours as well as planning tours for school groups, churches and other organizations. Vickie is a specialist in the area of Branson.
Evonne Janssen started with Southwest Coaches in 2007 working mainly in the school bus operations department, keeping everyone where they need to be and finding those precious lost children. Evonne has recently expanded her role to include the Motorcoach Tour & Travel side of the office. We appreciate Evonne’s mult-tasking talent and great get-it-done attitude.

Janell Palmer works in the office at Minnesota Motor Bus Inc. Janell recently joined our travel company with the acquisition of Minnesota Motor Bus in Fairmont, MN earlier this year. Janell brings many years of experience in the travel industry to our travel family with her prior experience working at Frontier Tour & Travel.
