Hello – I’m Carol Gorder and will be your travel guide for the New York City Tour from June 9 – June 15, 2019. At this time, I’d like to introduce myself to you. What is travel? In the summer of 1995, I started taking student/adult trips. I started with a… Read more »

Hi Leann – Do you have a preference on types of food? The area of Little Italy is fun for Italian food. Chinatown for Chinese. Seaport District for seafood. Steak houses? Let me know your taste and I’ll give you some suggestions. Would you like to stay by hotel (The Row – 700 8th Ave – located by Times Square) or venture out. There are five Boroughs that make up New York City, so we have lots of options. I’ll add these to the blog. IN EAGAN, June 9 – the first night, there is a fun Mediterranean Restaurant called… Read more »

Since we’re getting a fabulous view from the observation deck of the Empire State building, I trust we will not be traveling up to the Top of the Rock or One World Observatory, correct?
What’s the best way to get to & from the Brooklyn Bridge & The Vessel?
Thanks!

Good Morning, Leann – You could go to the Top of the Rock on your free time, when you’re in Midtown – Times Square. The One World Observatory is cool – option on the June 14 – we will be in that area on tour. You could stay for the afternoon and go there and then use public transportation to get back to the hotel. For the Brooklyn Bridge – subway- easiest – cheapest Vessel – located between 30th and 33rd streets and between 10th avenue and West Side Highway – subway – taxi. Our hotel is 700 8th Avenue.… Read more »

Based on my exuberance and the original itinerary I was sent, I RSVP’d to the TODAY show for the 11th. I understand our tour departure has been changed from mid morning to 8am so this won’t be feasible.
I cannot find a method to delete my RSVP. Do you know how?
Thank you!

Hi New York Travelers – The NBC Studio is a go, for those of you that signed up with me earlier. It will follow the Today Show at 8:40 a.m. You can still sign up for the Today Show – online registration. Also – think about your ideas for June 10 when we arrive in New York City and if you would like to eat at Ansani’s Med Grill on June 9, when we arrive in Eagan, MN. Enjoy a Beautiful Spring Day. 🙂

Grand Central Station, and learning the metro systems, would be great arrival day activities.
