Day 1 July 12, 2022 |  Marshall, MN to Duluth, MN

You’ll arrive in Duluth this afternoon, to explore at your leisure the Great Lakes Aquarium. Your hotel is right on Canal Park, where there is plenty of time to enjoy the many restaurants and shops for the remainder of the day.

Day 2 July 13, 2022 |   Duluth, MN to Thunder Bay, ON

The day begins at Split Rock Lighthouse for a Private Guided Keeper’s Tour, where you will see areas that the general public never sees! There will be a stop in Grand Marais for lunch, exploring, and time to take in the beauty of the North Shore. Further north, you’ll have a self-guided tour of the Grand Portage National Monument and Heritage Visitor’s Center. This is a reconstruction of a fur trade depot, Ojibwe Village, and much more. With the help of costumed guides, it provides excellent historical insight into our past. Later you’ll pass through Canadian Customs and arrive in Thunder Bay this evening.

Day 3 July 14, 2022 |   Thunder Bay, ON

You’ll begin the day at the Terry Fox Monument and Visitor Information Centre. This is one of the most visited sites in Thunder Bay and also provides a breath-taking view of Lake Superior. A stop is made at Prince Arthur’s Landing in Marina Park to enjoy more beautiful scenery. The remainder of the day will be at Fort William Historical Park, where you step through time as life was 180 years ago at the headquarters of the North West Company of Montreal. After a private tour by your costumed guides, enjoy a four-course “Beaver Club Dinner” as costumed historic interpreters tell stories and tales of life at the fort and trading post, complete with musicians!

Day 4 July 15, 2022 |   Thunder Bay, ON

It’s off to the “Niagara of the North,” Kakabeka Falls this morning. This is the second-largest waterfall in Ontario, and the view will be amazingly close! At Amethyst Mine Panorama, enjoy a guided tour and digging excursion. After lunch, you’ll stop at Hillcrest Park for a viewing and picture taking of “The Sleeping Giant.” The day concludes with a guided tour of the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, specializing in the work of indigenous artists.

Day 5 July 16, 2022 |   Thunder Bay, ON to St. Cloud, MN

Back in Minnesota this morning, you’ll take a Summit Express Gondola Ride with a Mountain Top Lunch in Lutsen. Enjoy the stunning views of Lake Superior during your Gondola Ride. No trip to the North Shore would be complete without a stop at Gooseberry Falls, one of Minnesota’s iconic sites. In Two Harbors, you visit Burlington Station, to buy treats of all types imaginable and to see the largest indoor/ outdoor G Scale railroad in the world!

Day 6 July 17, 2022 |   St. Cloud, MN to Home

Before departing for home, enjoy a stroll through Munsinger Clemens Gardens.
