Day 1 February 12, 2022 |  Marshall, MN to Blue Springs, MO

Today is a travel day as you make your way south.

Day 2 February 13, 2022 | Blue Springs, MO to Joplin, MO

Today, in Kansas City, explore the National WWI Museum and Memorial, the nation’s only public museum dedicated to WWI. Following lunch, visit the ever-popular Precious Moments Chapel inspired by the Precious Moments figurines.

Day 3 February 14, 2022 | Joplin, MO to Denton, TX

Before arriving in Texas this evening, you’ll stop for a self-guided tour of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum. In addition to the museum, there are beautiful gardens, a pool, and a sculptural memorial commemorating the 1995 Murrah Building bombing victims.

Day 4 February 15, 2022 | Denton, TX to Webster, TX

Arriving in Huntsville this afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, where you’ll enjoy a movie about Sam Houston, access to the Steamboat House, the family’s Woodland Home, Houston’s Law Office, and much more.

Day 5 February 16, 2022 | Webster, TX

This morning enjoy a BayWatch Dolphin Tour aboard a boat with no propellers, so no dolphins can be harmed, allowing you to get a closer view of the dolphins in their natural habitat. This afternoon enjoy free time in the Galveston harbor area.

Day 6 February 17, 2022 | Webster, TX to San Antonio, TX

Your morning will be spent at Space Center Houston, highlighting all eras of US space travel with over 400 things to see and do, including the Starship Gallery, guided NASA Tram Tour, the Astronaut Gallery, the International Space Station Gallery, and more! This afternoon, you’ll arrive in San Antonio with a hotel stay within easy walking distance of the River Walk!

Day 7 February 18, 2022 |   San Antonio, TX

No trip to Texas is complete without a visit to The Alamo, home of the famous 1836 battle. Following lunch, enjoy an iconic Rio San Antonio River Cruise where your guide will entertain you with stories from the rich history of SanAntonio. This afternoon, explore on your own the Tower of Americas, the 750-foot observation deck offering you the most spectacular views of the city. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the River Walk at your leisure.

Day 8 February 19, 2022 |   San Antonio, TX to Waco, TX

Arriving in Waco today, enjoy at your leisure Magnolia Markets, made famous by the HGTV show Fixer Upper. There are other unique boutiques in the area to explore and food trucks, craft bakeries, and more for your dining pleasure. This afternoon, tour the Dr. Pepper museum, complete with a visit to their soda fountain!

Day 9 February 20, 2022 |   Waco, TX

Your day begins with the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum. With a self-guided tour, you can explore this museum at your leisure, a state-designated historical center for the famed Texas Rangers law enforcement agency. This afternoon, we’ll have a personal step-on guide join us on the motor coach for a Classic Waco Tour. You’ll visit the downtown area, hear the history of Waco, Baylor University, drive by homes from the HGTV show Fixer Upper, and much more.

Day 10 February 21, 2022 |   Waco, TX to Tyler, TX

Enjoy a relaxing morning at the East Texas Arboretum as you wander through the arboretum. It includes lush gardens along with exploring the historic buildings, a museum, and many woodland trails. After lunch, there is a guided tour of the McClendon House, a landmark Victorian home built in 1878, filled with artifacts and treasures. Then tour the Goodman-LeGrand House and Museum, another landmark home in Tyler filled with original furnishings, photographs, and memorabilia dating from the mid-1800s with stunning landscape.

Day 11 February 22, 2022 |   Tyler, TX

You can’t visit Tyler, TX, the Rose Capital of America, without seeing the Tyler Rose Museum, and if the weather allows enjoy the gardens. Later, there is a self-guid- ed tour of the American Freedom Museum. The Museum focuses on the crucial moments in our nation’s history, from the American Revolution to the sands of Iraq and Afghanistan, so you can discover the journey our nation’s military has taken to ensure our many freedoms. This afternoon, at the Texas Basket Company, watch how these baskets used for transporting and storing fruits and vegetables are made. This evening, in one of Tyler’s beautiful historic homes, you’ll enjoy a Murder Mystery Dinner.

Day 12 February 23, 2022 |   Tyler, TX to Ardmore, OK

Before leaving Texas, you’ll head to Dallas for a self-guided tour of the Sixth Floor Museum to learn the details of the world-altering events of John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Explore at your leisure the fascinating multi-media exhibits located inside the former Texas School Book Depository. You’ll continue to Dealey Plaza and the Kennedy Memorial, located just steps from where JFK was assassinated. Time will also be allowed to visit the Grassy Knoll.

Day 13 February 24, 2022 |   Ardmore, OK to Salina, KS

As you begin your journey home, you’ll stop for a guided tour of Strataca, the Underground Salt Museum in Hutchinson, KS. This museum is built within one of the world’s largest deposits of rock salt and provides the opportunity to go 650 feet beneath the Earth’s surface. Strataca is a one-of-kind opportunity!

Day 14 February 25, 2022 |   Salina, KS to Marshall, MN

Your Best of Texas tour concludes today as you return home this evening.
