A visit to the E.W Marland Mansion & Estate tells the story of the Marland family, the oil industry that made building this architectural wonder possible and Ponca City, the “oil boom-town” that rose from it. Conclude the day by unwinding with a wine tasting at the Prairie Rattler Winery. Holiday Inn Express * Breakfast Included

Day 3 | Ponca City, OK to Bartlesville, OK

Watch for the Drummond Ranch sign as we head to Pawhuska, OK, deep in the heart of Osage County, experience a spirited mix of American Indian and western culture. In downtown, Pawhuska celebrates past, present, and future as we have free time to explore. This town, founded in 1876, still has 86 buildings in the downtown area listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Later this morning, we board a Mercedes Benz convertible bus and head to the Drummond Ranch for a guided tour. The Lodge on Drummond Ranch is the filming location you’ll recognize from the popular Food Network show. Cross your fingers Ree, Ladd, and some of the kids just may be at the ranch! An included lunch at the Pioneer Woman Mercantile will allow you an opportunity to try this “Southern” style of home cooking. While at The Mercantile, aka “The Merc,” you can shop all things Pioneer Woman, including clothing, gifts, kitchen, and home goods, and of course, her collection of cookbooks and children’s books. The Mercantile is located in a hundred year-old building on Main Street in Pawhuska, that Drummond spent years renovating before opening the 25,000 square foot space open to visitors. This afternoon you will have time to look around this charming western town and visit the local church, and museum, which features history from the area and the pioneer women that initially settled this area.
